Time Again
It’s time again.
Due to its hazardous nature, the time machine had to be tested before each official use. There was no way the world could risk its top scientists in a contraption that some engineers had constructed.
He doesn’t see what the big deal was. He’s tested it before already. Countless times.
Stepping into the capsule, he checks the indicators diligently and flips the switch. A cacophony erupts around him, before petering off to a gentle hum.
Working fine, as usual.
A metallic ding marks the end of his journey. He steps out of the capsule.
It’s time again.
